Privacy & photo contributions

Enquiry details are stored privately so the owner can answer and manage your trip. We do not publish your email, phone number or travel dates.

Your private travel notebook

Notebook photos and notes are stored in IndexedDB in your device browser. No account is required; these memories are not uploaded or published. Capturing a view or choosing Use my location requests GPS and attaches a private map pin to the saved stop. These coordinates are stored only on your device and included in your downloaded backup. A destination check-in retains its check time, distance to the reference pin, GPS accuracy and visit mark.

Clearing site data, private browsing or low device storage can remove your notebook. Download backups and keep those files private. Restoring updates matching memory IDs and keeps other memories. Basemap tiles need a connection; the notebook and saved photos work offline after the app first loads. Visit marks and certificates are personal device souvenirs, not official credentials.

Contributed photographs

Only upload images you own or have permission to share. By submitting a photo, you give this website permission to display the approved image and caption on this site. Pending photos are private. You can edit captions or delete your submissions from your account.

Photos are resized and re-encoded to remove metadata, including GPS location. The map location button does not retain coordinates; notebook check-ins retain only the proximity evidence described above.

Accounts and spam protection

Login cookies maintain your account session. Cloudflare Turnstile verifies submissions to limit spam. Supabase stores accounts, enquiries and public photo contributions; private notebook memories stay on your device.

Before launch, the owner must add the retention period, legal business information and contact method for data deletion requests.
